Overview
Mr. Hershey was responsible for the evaluation of the existing sewer system on the Masonic Village campus in Elizabethtown. The Elizabethtown site was established in 1910. The Grand Lodge Hall in Elizabethtown opened in 1913. In 1989, Masonic Village at Elizabethtown broke ground for the first retirement living apartments and cottages. There are now 971 units. The campus’ population has grown over the past 25 years from about 700 to more than 1,800 and more than 1,500 people work there.
With infrastructure over 100 years old, the system was in need of evaluation and repairs. Mr. Hershey oversaw the procurement of televising services.
The results of the study were summarized in a report that provided cost opinions for the upgrades with a scheduled replacement calendar to ensure the Masonic Village could continue to serve its residents and allow for future campus expansion.
Highlights of the project include:
- Televising services
- Televised lines were evaluated and recommendations were prepared for the phasing of line upgrades either by replacement, lining or repair
